Dear LA Drivers,

I’m a driving instructor on the west side of LA and I spend most of my ‘teaching’ time helping my clients anticipate (and avoid) the rude, illegal, and dangerous maneuvers made by other drivers:

See how most cars aren’t actually stopping at the stop sign? See how those cars are blocking the intersection? See how most cars don’t put on their turn signal or check their blind spot before they change lanes? Those are just a few of the problems I see all day every day. Any one of them would constitute an ‘instant fail’ on the California DMV road test, but that’s how the majority of drivers drive on the streets of LA.

If you’re new to LA, it’s a terrifying experience. If you’re already here, unless you’re driving without a license, you passed your DMV road test, so you KNOW (or knew) the rules of the road, but apparently your meeting is too important, and your life is too unimportant, to follow them.

So, if you’re new to town, or just need a ‘refresher, read on – or just look at the pictures.
